These odd-looking “nuts” are actually dried berries from a tree that grows in the Himalayas. When agitated in water, they produce a naturally occurring agent that gently cleanses laundry. They're a great option for those who are sensitive to conventional laundry detergents, or for those wishing to cut down on the waste that comes from conventional laundry soap containers.

To use, simply place 4-5 Eco Nuts in the provided cloth bag and toss them in the washer with your clothes. The nuts will suds up naturally and act as a natural fabric softener in the rinse cycle. Clothes come out smelling fresh, clean, and super soft. The berries can then be re-used up to 10 times, making them a super-affordable option.

Use as a 2-in-one detergent and softener, or use with your existing detergent as just a fabric softener.

  • Depending on the time of year, some packages may not contain many "whole berries." In these cases, the berries will still work just the same. Simply take 2 half berries to equal a whole when placing them in the provided wash bag.

Note: if you are using an HE (front loading) machine, we recommend Eco Nuts liquid detergent. Eco Nuts soap nuts will get the job done, but the liquid works better and is specially formulated for HE machines.
